While many are struggling to get a decent pay even after toiling 9-10 hours a day, this Pune Chaiwala is making INR 12 lakhs per month by just selling tea. This is way more than an average person’s salary in India.
Yes! You read it right. Navnath Yewle, a chaiwala from Pune and co-founder of Yewle Tea House has set a new benchmark by earning INR 12 Lakhs per month.
YEWLE TEA HOUSE
Yewle Tea House (Yewale Amrutalaya) has become one of the most famous stalls in Pune, Maharashtra.
According to the sources, Navnath Yewle got the idea of selling tea and developing it as a brand in 2011. Speaking on the same, Tea-seller Navanath said,
Basically, in 2011, I got the idea of making tea and that I can create a big business by making tea. I saw that in Pune we have Joshi Wadewale, Rohit Wadewala but there was no famous tea brand here. There are many chai lovers here and most of them don’t get the taste they desire. We studied tea for four years, finalized the quality of tea and decided to make tea into a big brand.
Currently, Yewle Tea House has three branches across the city with each centre selling 3,000 – 4,000 cups of tea per day. And each centre has about 12 employees working in it.
CHAIWALA GOING GLOBAL
Further, Navnath Yewle aims to make his tea stall an international brand very soon.
Addressing about the employment opportunity, Navnath states that
I feel there is a lot of employment here. Every outlet has around 10 to 14 employees. We are thinking of expanding to around 100 outlets, so this will employ many more people. Unlike ‘pakora’ business, this tea selling business is also creating employment for Indians. This business is growing fast and I’m happy.
Navnath’s story is an example that there is an opportunity everywhere. But the key thing is how we stick to it and work hard to make it promising.
