The showcasing of skills by Artists know no bounds. Illustrating what is present is easier, but imagining something and illustrating it takes a lot of brainstorming.
Here is one illustrator who took inspiration from the Gulliver’s Travels and created a series of illustrations.
HAKAN KELES AND HIS LILLIPUTS SERIES ILLUSTRATION
Hakan Keles is an architect, academician, and illustrator from Turkey.
He created a range of illustrations under his series which he calls as ‘Lilliputs Series’.
Lilliputs, Really? Doesn’t the name sound familiar to you?
Yes, Lilliput is the island nation that appeared in the famous novel, Gulliver’s Travels. If you can grind your childhood memories and try to remember, Lilliput is termed as the City of Dwarfs as the people in this fantasy nations are short and sturdy.
THE HAKAN TWIST
Here is where Hakan kept a twist.
The people of the world (In fact, only Turkish people for now) become dwarfs altogether in front of his illustrations.

Each and every illustration of Hakan is very creative and highly deserves appreciation.
The illustrations are mostly humorous and look a kind monster. He says that some are also inspired by real people.
Hakan starts off by capturing photos of streets in Turkey. He then creates a character and sometimes characters that would suit the captured landscape. Not to forget, the characters are always bigger, a sort of monster-like.
With his creative thought process, Hakan has created numerous character for the images captured.
His Instagram profile which has close to 23,000 followers at the time of this writing consists all his works.
THE ILLUSTRATIONS
If you have a look at his profile, you will see that we cannot rate one illustration more than the other. Each one is amazing and unique in its own way.
However, I have managed to pick few of those which made me laugh and wonder Hakan’s conceptualization ability.
