Finland is a land of great natural beauty with an abundance of forests, greenery, snow and wildlife. Talented artist. Joachim Munter spends a lot of time in the Finnish forest and has an extraordinary bond with many of the forest creatures that he has got to know so well.
One almost forgets that these are still wild animals. Hunter sets up his camera equipment and then he waits, he watches, he waits some more, he connects and then he shoots, with his camera, of course.
NATURAL AND UNREAL PHOTOGRAPHS
These photographs of Finnish forest animals by Munter are almost unreal.
The animals are all totally wild and the setting is completely natural and yet Munter manages to capture fairy tale scenes that look like they have been staged and directed. In reality, they are not.
The photographs of Finnish forest animals are natural and magnificent. In fact, it is really only possible because of Munter’s great photographic eye and his bond with the animals.
He clearly waits a long time for each perfect shot. A photographer needs a lot of patience after all, and clearly, Munter has it.
Finnish forest is a beautiful home for abundant wildlife, including foxes, squirrels, birds and also wolves, eagles, bears, and lynx. Munter’s photographs are also focused on the smaller things – foxes, birds, and squirrels.
Have a look and be as astonished as we were at these photographs of Finnish forest animals. They almost don’t look real.
