JOHN WILHELM’S IMAGE MANIPULATION
At first, John carefully captures beautiful photographs with his adorable daughters and son.
With his Cool photo manipulation ideas, he then converts those images into a realistic version that coincides with fantasy and surreal world.
He transforms image that appears so normal into something interesting with the help of image manipulation technique.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
John was born (1970) and brought up in Winterthur, Switzerland
He still lives there with his wife and four kids (3 girls and 1 son).
Photography is not something new to John as his father was an experienced hobby-photographer and founded at least two local photography associations.
Hence, since his childhood, he grew up in an environment of cameras, magazines, lenses, self-made camera-baggages, darkrooms and funny weddings.
However, John was not that interested in photography stuff. He says,
I wasn’t very excited back then about those films and development processes. It was such a fiddling in my eyes.
PASSION TOWARDS PHOTOGRAPHY
But later he developed a fondness towards photography when he held his digital camera for the first time.
From there his obsession with photography grew with each passing day which turned into a passion.
And finally, he began his photographic journey with lots of camera systems, techniques, experiences and finally software products.
Back in February 2011, John Wilhelm decided to take a step across the border of plain photography.
He entered the world of Photoshop and learned various Photoshop techniques and 3D-tools.
That was the best thing I every did… now photography is a complete passion! I love bringing my fantasy to life with the help of my own images, Photoshop, and 3D Software. Due to the fact that it’s more an obsession than plain passion I call myself a photoholic.
