There is a lot on the Internet and sometimes scrolling through the YouTube videos or Instagram accounts can be exhausting. It’s hard to sort out the good from the bad, the real from the unreal and the big from the little. But in this instance, we have found that love is in the little things and we are delighted to share this with you.
LOVE IS IN THE LITTLE THINGS
Lynn Choi is an incredible artist, originally from Korea but now living in Auckland, New Zealand.
Lynn creates the most astonishing animated illustrations, each one simple but telling the most beautiful story.
And each story is about love.
Her illustrations show how love is in the little things – watching a sunset, stroking a cat, sipping tea, or making pancakes.
Lynn creates images that are not perfect but each one is beautiful in its own way.
She captures intimate moments with a few strokes, moments that we may not think of as being intimate. It could be waiting for a bus, watching television or taking out the garbage.
TREASURE SMALL MOMENTS
It’s important in life, and maybe we only realise this as we start growing up, that the small moments are the things that matter.
The way your partner looks at you, the way your friend asks for help, the chat you have late at night with your mom are all worth it. Small things are the things that really matter; they are the things that become important.
Lynn’s illustrations are ‘in the moment’. They are mindful in a way. They are expressive, real and ordinary but extraordinary at the same time.
Lynn shows us that love is in the little things. You must have had a look at her illustrations. You will either want to pick up a pen and get creating yourself or perhaps climb into your own bed, with a cup of coffee and a good book.
