On top of his acting career, Bollywood Tiger Salman Khan is also known for his kindness and generosity. Now he has gone one step ahead by extending his support to the Open Defecation Free Campaign of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) – by getting 3000 toilets rebuilt in a slum near Gurgaon Film City, Mumbai.
Further, Sallu along with BMC commissioner Ajoy Mehta and few BMC senior officials visited the slum to spread awareness about hygiene and sanitation.
As per the reports, residents of Aarey Colony located near Mumbai’s Goregaon have been defecating in the open for more than 25 years due to lack of a clean public toilet facility.
Speaking about his initiative, the Dabangg star said,
This is just the beginning. We have rebuilt toilets in more than 3,000 houses and gave them water connections… We are taking care of it. We will try to get permissions to build toilets in the houses if they have space for it.
BMC commissioner Ajoy Mehta added,
People listen to him and take it seriously. The Corporation is ready to do its best. I appeal to everyone to use toilets.
With his new Being Human E-Cycle and now help people with Toilets, Salman Khan is standing tall as an example for celebrities.
